Facebook has accused Apple of engaging in anti-competitive practices, launching another blow in the dispute between the two technology giants over the planned privacy changes that Apple is preparing for iOS14, reports Reuters, quoted by Mediafax.
“Apple is behaving anti-competitively, using its control over the AppStore to make a profit, to the detriment of creators and small businesses,” Dan Levy, Facebook’s vice president of advertising and business products, told reporters. Facebook has used one-page ads in major newspapers, criticizing Apple’s plans, which will limit the ability of apps to collect data from mobile phones that can be used for targeted advertising.
