“WhatsApp is not abandoning support for older iPhones. It’s fake news.” The Wabetainfo blog, which always provides information on news related to WhatsApp, denies the rumors relating to a disengagement of the messaging app against the generically “older” iPhone models.
On its website, WhatsApp specifies that the application “for iPhone requires iOS 9 or later. For the best experience, we recommend using the latest version of iOS available for your phone”.
Wabetainfo also announces that the beta version for iOS 2.21.10.23, the first coming in 2021, will include a series of new features, starting with the possibility of pasting multiple images and videos.
